Fish (Matsyasana)

The simple fish can be started in one of two ways: by putting the legs either in a straight or in a lotus position. Then lay down on the mat. Using hands on either side of the head fingertips facing tops of the shoulders lift the chest and arch the back so that the back is arching off the mat, resting the center of the crown of the head on the mat. Hold hands there or if in lotus you can grab your feet or big toes and support yourself on your arms and by pulling your feet.
